Anjuta - Manipur's gift to the world
By Linux Manipur
Anjuta is an integrated development environment for C and C++ on GNU/Linux. It has been written for GTK+/GNOME and features a number of advanced programming facilities. These include project management, application wizards, an interactive debugger built over gdb, and a powerful source code editor with source browsing, code completion and syntax highlighting.
Anjuta is free software distributed under the GNU General Public License (GPL).
Naba Kumar Kh, our dear friend and fellow Manipuri, is the man behind this world famous IDE. Anjuta stands tall among the IDEs in the FOSS world. Manipur is proud to have Anjuta leading the contribution of India to the Free and Open Source Software community.
Please visit Anjuta's home page at: www.anjuta.org
Anjuta is the only known software that has landed in the free and open source world from Manipur. ONE can ignore it but ONE cannot deny the significance of this software. Even if ONE wants to deny this fact also, the world has already known it.
The truth of its significance is that there's no hardcore Manipuri till date for the last 3/4 yrs other than Naba who is developing this software. Work wise there are many things to be done, that can still be implemented in Anjuta. What are we waiting for ? We expect more Manipuri volunteers to come forward and play their roles in developing Anjuta. Seeing the scalability, adaptability, GNOME-popularity and the technical know-hows required to understand the internal data-flows in this software, Anjuta is held in HIGH esteem by us. |
