FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTORS AND VOLUNTEERS: Linux Manipur is just a handful of youngsters, driven by sheer passion of sharing knowledge. To conduct events we need funds and volunteers. With the little contribution we managed to pool in from our pocket and some 5-6 hard core Imphal based member is never enough.
Dear Friends, you all know that without your generous help we cannot conduct an event of this kind, where we charge nothing from the participants but give them things they don't get. You help us in igniting the fire in them, you help us in giving them hopes.
Linux Manipur thanks the individual contributors *from outside the state* and the Imphal based sponsors for the event. At the same time we also want to say -
˜Thank you very much", to the many volunteers - old high school teachers, parents, relatives, friends and friend's friends. You came forward to help us - to prepare and organize the event, to invigilate the test, check the answer sheets etc. You were the guys behind the show.
Dear Students from Manipur, if you are reading this web page, know that the names below are the people who generously contributed, who generously came forward to volunteer without a second thought when Linux Manipur approached for help
Hi guys first of all I wanna say keep the good work up. I’ve heard LM for quite a while now. But today out of instinct I happen to browse e-pao after a long time and saw LM again but this time I didn’t just let it go. I surfed thru LM sites and I’m stunned. To be honest I wasn’t expectin LM 2 b like this (no offence)-dedicated and ready-2-help.
To top it all its an organization/group founded by people in the business. Its good dat ur spreadin the awareness. People need to realise the power of OpenSource. I've been using Linux-OpenSuse for the past 2 years. Its been no turning back since I was introduced to Suse. Recently I upgrade myself to SUSE 10.3 and I love it. I wish i can be a part of the Talent search 2008. God bless u guys wherever u r..

Hi Ringo,
Nice to hear LM team is organising the FOSS 2008. You might not know me or the organisation I belong to. Coincidentally our Organisation EMA (European Manipuri Association) had a meeting recently. We discuss about various ways for us to take part in events happening in manipur. LM came to our minds quickly considering the exciting event you guys organised last year. We decided to contribute financially and possibly in person. Drop me an email detailing your expected cost for the event. How much have raised so far? In mean time I ll inform other EMA members about the event and see what they think about it.
I will be in Imphal till from 18th March till 27th March. Its a shame I will miss the event. Nevertheless we will try to meet up if possible.
thanks
Dinesh
